Support: Product Status
During the life span of any generalized software product, there are periodic releases for maintenance and development activity. All NRS Product releases have a "Version" number associated it in the general form of:
R.L.M
where each Letter is a numeric value that has the following general meaning:
- R (Release)
- defines the overall major Release number
- L (Level)
- establishes each major Level of modifications and enhancments to produce a new Version within the Release
- M (Maintenance)
- collects minor enhancements and bug fixes (Maintenance) associated with a Version
Later releases will have numerically greater digits (e.g. 4.2.3 is greater than 4.1.0 and, as a result, is a subsequent Version).
